Increasing blog traffic

I'm looking for ways to increase blog traffic and readership for both The Moon is a Dead World and Memory Wave Transmission. I've tried a lot of things, and this blog has been benefiting a bit, but my other blog is kind of just festering right now.

Does anyone know of anything that has worked for them? Preferably easy, and also free, please.

Other than that, I'm hoping for another review sometime this week. I can't really do more than that at a time right now.

  3. werebogast - Per day visits, I normally have around 50-70. Per week, probably about 400.

    Film-book dot com - I think I will join dignow. I've never heard of it until now.

  4. The only thing that has worked for me is getting your blog into every search engine and every blog site. It takes a little work but it does pay off.

    Which blog engines do you think work the best?
    I've added mine to a lot of unsuccessful ones, and so I'm looking for ones that have more users like Technorati.

  8. Hi, may I ask why you *wish* to increase traffic? Vanity, just more readers to read your stuff, or to actually obtain ads and make some $.

    If the latter, you have a tough road to hoe. I currently receive 1,400 visitors a day and I still have a hard time selling ads. I made about $500 off the blog last year.

    Moral to my story is that 1,400/day is not nearly enough for ad revenue. Apparently it has to go higher, but I've had a hard time doing that. It took me 3 1/2 years to even get to this point.

  9. I'm not actually looking to make money.

    I just want to create a livelier discussion on the blog, because I'd like to hear what readers have to say and are thinking.

    I would like to create more of a community blog experience.

    Making money is very, very low on my list of priorities.
